the volume of the cylinder is given as

`v= \pi r^2h`

Given

radius r= 5 cm

volume v= 1000 cm

height h= ?

Substituting the values we can find the depth(h)

`1000= 3.142*5^2*h\\1000= 3.142*25*h\\\\1000= 78.55*h\\`

Dividing both sides by 78.55 we have

`h= (1000)/(78.55) \\\h= 12.73`

to 1 dp h= 12.7 cm
