∠ FGH is an external angle of the triangle, thus

∠ FGH = ∠ EFG + ∠ GEF , substitute values

5x - 7 = x + 14 + 2x + 1

5x - 7 = 3x + 15 ( subtract 3x from both sides )

2x - 7 = 15 ( add 7 to both sides )

2x = 22 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 11

Thus

∠ FGH = 5x - 7 = 5(11) - 7 = 55 - 7 = 48°
