gradient = 4

Explanation:

Rewrite the equation so that y becomes the subject of the formula

2y=8x+6

remember only y should be the subject not 2y... so divide every term by 2

y= 4x+3

the gradient is the coefficient( the term that comes before) of x

hence the answer is 4

First write the equation in the form

y = mx +c

m = Gradient

2y - 8x = 6

2y = 8x + 6

Divide both sides by 2

You will get

y = 4x + 3

m = 4

Comparing with the above equation

Gradient of the line is 4
