development is filling our rivers, seas and oceans with toxic
pollutants which are a major threat to human health. You as a
student is deeply saddened to see water pollution as an appalling

problem, which is powerful enough to lead the world on a path of
destruction.

Write a letter to the people of London , to make them

aware about the causes of water pollution and also suggest
measures to prevent water pollution. (About 100 -120 words)

Dear people of London,

I am concerned greatly for our safety and would like to spread public awareness. Industrial development has been filling our rivers with toxic wastes that danger health for all. Mining activities have been leading to oil spills; furthermore, our sewage and waste water spills into the river as well as that oil. To prevent our river from being polluted, we need to take action by treating the wastes before discharging them. It is the only way we, as a community, can sleep sound and say, ¨Our water is pure and our health is content.¨
