Why is it useful to know the definition of rational expression? Explain through an example of your own.

Answer:

a rational number is an expression in which the numerator and denominator are polynomials. this is useful to know because often polynomials can be factorized. besides, if there is a variable in the denominator, there will be one or more restrictions.

example: (4x²-25)(2x+5) is simplified to 2x-5 with restrictions x≠-5/2
