Answer:

(8 × 10^-3)× ( 2× 10 ^-4)

reorder the terms

You will get

(8 × 2) ( 10^ -3 × 10^-4)

Multiply

16 ( 10^ -3 × 10^-4)

Use the rules of indices

a^ b × a^ c = a^b+c

16(10^-3-4)

16(10^-7)

= 16 × 10^-7 or 1.6 × 10^-6 or 0.0000016

Hope this helps.
