Explanation:

To find slope with two points we use the following formula
(y^2-y^1)/(x^2-x^1). So y 2 is 4 and y 1 is 1 so 4-1 is 3 and now x 2 is -5 and x 1 is 1 so -5 - 1 is -6 so the slope is
(-3)/(6) and simplifying it we get
(-1)/(2).
