The single mark on the given lines means that the lines so marked are equal.

The given triangle which contains 30 degrees in writing has another 30 degree angle. Mark the third angle as y.

The third angle is 30 + 30 + y = 180 all triangles have 180 degrees.

60 + y = 180 subtract 60 from both sides.

y = 120

Be very careful what you do next. The lines may be equal, but the angles are not 30 degrees as they were in the lift triangle.
