How do scientists look for black holes in space? Describe what a black hole looks like using one of the different ways of seeing the sky?

Scientists can't directly observe black holes with telescopes however we can infer the presence of black holes and study them by detecting their effect on other matter nearby. Scientists look for black holes by using x-rays, visible light and radio waves. By a black hole, the sky looks normal then the stars closer to the black holes look like they are spinning around the black hole.
