Answer:

Third number = 69

Explanation:

Let x represent the first number

Let 2x+4 represent the second number

Let 3x represent the third number

x + 2x + 4 + 3x = 142

6x + 4 = 142

Subtract 4 from both sides of the equation

6x + 4 - 4 = 142- 4

6x = 138

Divide both sides of equation by 6

(6x)/(6) = (138)/(6)

x = 23

First number = 23

Second number = 2(23) + 4

=50

Third number = 3( 23)

= 69

Which means the third number is the largest.
