The formula to calculate the gravitational force between two objects is F₁ = GM₁M₂,
where M₁ and M₂ are the masses of the objects, G is the gravitational constant and

Newton's Law of Gravitation:

Statement: According to this law, when two mass bodies are separated at finite distance then there must be an attractive force experience by them which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of their separation.

Consider two mass bodies m1 & m2 be kept at distance d. Then the force of attraction F is given as

Fam_(1).m_(2)

Fa1/d^2

Now, from above equations, we have

Fa(m_(1)m_(2))/(d^2)

or,
F=G(m_(1)m_(2))/(d^2)

Here
G=6.67*10^(-11)Mm^2kg^(-2) is the universal gravitational constant.
