Given that shape of pond is square

for square if x is the length of side then perimeter of square is given by

4x.

Given that perimeter of pond is 24ft

then

4* side of pond = 24 ft

side of pond = 24/4 ft = 6ft

area of square = side^2

Volume of any regular geometrical figure is given by

area of base * height

For pond

area of base = area of square = 6^2 = 36 square feet

depth of water in the pond = 6ft

Thus , volume of water = depth of water * area of base of pond

volume of water = 36 * 6 cubic feet = 216 cubic feet.
