the answer is 2. because you need to do what’s in the parentheses first. so for the top, (17-12=5) then -8 x 5 = -40. so that’s the top. bottom, 8 - (-2) when you subtract a negative it becomes positive. so that is 10. now it’s -2 x 10. and final answer is -40/-20= 2. hope that helped
