8 1/4 is the answer. To convert 1 to 2 3/4 you have to multiply 1 by 2 3/4 so, that mean you would have to multiply 3 by 2 3/4 or, 3 by 2.75 on a calculator which equals 8.25 which to be converted into a fraction is 8 1/4.
