Jim is a calm, charitable and kind boy. He helps his mother to worship from the inn, he is somewhat ingenious, but he has a good heart and has a strong honesty and a strong sense of justice.
Silver, on the other hand, is a dishonest, violent, aggressive and sometimes cruel pirate. He, unlike Jim, has traveled to several places, having many stories that would provide him with a vast experience about the world and people.
