In the formula:

y1 is the y coordinate of the first point

y2 is the y coordinate of the second point

x1 is the x coordinate of the first point

This said, we can plug our points in for each example.

First one:

4.9-(-1.1)/8-1

4.9+1.1/7

6/7

Second one:

8-7.5/9.5-4.5

0.5/5

Multiply both numerator and denominator by 2

1/10

Third one:

1.7-5/1-(-1.2)

-3.3/2.2

Divide both numerator and denominator by 1.1

-3/2
