Answer:

49 / 6 < x < 41 / 2

Explanation:

Given:

Three sides are:

45, 4x and 2x−4

In a triangle, the sum of two sides is greater then another side .

So,

  • 45 < 4x + (2x-4)
  • 4x < 45 + (2x-4)
  • 2x-4 < 45 + 4x

From ineuality (1)

45 < 4x + (2x-4)

45 < 6x - 4

49 / 6 < x

From ineuality (2)

4x < 45 + (2x-4)

2x < 41

x < 41 / 2

So,

49 / 6 < x < 41 / 2
