Answer:

For Perimeter its 2times length + 2times width

and for Area its: length times width

L (lengh) · W (width)

Explanation:

Tp find the area of a rectangle, you always have to multiply the length by the width. You do this because there are individual little array-like squares that make up the area. You could just count the square units, but multiplying is faster.
