Answer:

1/12 of the fence was put up on Wednesday.

Explanation:

3/4 + 1/6 = 11/12

So therefore 1/12 of the fence was put up on Wednesday

Answer: 1/12 of the fence was put up on Wednesday

Explanation:

To do this, we should add up the fractions of the fence on Monday and Tuesday, and subtract them from 1 (100% or the whole fence) to find the remaining portion.

(3)/(4) +
(1)/(6) First, find the greatest common denominator (12).

(3)/(4) * (3)/(3) = (9)/(12) In order to get from 4 to 12, you must multiply both sides by 3

(1)/(6)*(2)/(2) = (2)/(12) In order to get from 6 to 12, you must multiply both sides by 2

(9)/(12) + (2)/(12) = (11)/(12) Add the two fractions together by adding the numerators.

1 - (11)/(12) = (1)/(12) Finally, subtract 11/12 from 1 to get the remaining portion on Wednesday
