Answer:

it must be 8cm + 9 cm

Explanation:

A Triangel has three sides: a, b, c

The rule is, that in the triangle it is always:

a+b>c

a+c>b

b+c>a

The given side is 13 cm, so the two other sides need to be bigger than 13 cm.

5 cm + 8 cm = 13 cm - cannot be the two sides

6 cm + 7 cm = 13 cm - cannot be the two sides

7 cm + 2 cm = 9 cm < 13 cm - cannot be the two sides

8 cm + 9 cm = 17 cm > 13 cm - these are the sides you looked for!

Answer: 8 cm and 9 cm

Explanation: 8+9=17 and 17 is greater than 13. Remember, given a triangle, the sum of the lengths of any two sides must be greater in length than the third side.
