Answer:

x= -0.4

Explanation:

3x+5.2=2-5x

Add 5x to both sides

8x+5.2=2

Subtract 5.2 from both sides

8x= -3.2

Divide both sides by 8

x= -0.4

I just realized my answer is really similar to Wegnerkolmp2741o so sorry if it seems like I'm copying them.

Answer:

x = -.4

Explanation:

3x + 5.2 = 2 - 5x

Add 5x to each side

3x+5x + 5.2 = 2 - 5x+5x

8x +5.2 = 2

Subtract 5.2 from each side

8x +5.2 - 5.2 = 2-5.2

8x = -3.2

Divide each side by 8

8x/8 = -3.2/8

x = -.4
