Answer: No matter how bad the burns are you should cool the burns, make sure the person is breathing and the persons blood is circulating and has a clear airway. Cool the burn with cool or lukewarm running water for 20 minutes as soon as possible after the injury. Then Cover the area with a sterile bandage or a clean loose cloth.
