A rectangular field is 115 meters long and 70 meters wide. Give the length and width of another rectangular field that has the same perimeter but a smaller area.

Answer:

Length 100 m, width 85 m.

Explanation:

If the perimeters are equal then the sum width + length has to be the same as 70 + 115 = 185.

The area of the given field = 115 * 70 = 8050 m^2.

Lets try length 100 and width 85 .This gives an area of 8500 so that would fit.
