Answer The Confederate soldiers knew the terrain better than that of their counterparts. A psychological aspect could be that they were fighting for their land, for their families, which could have been the driving force although they were vastly outnumbered.

Answer:

1. The confederacy had much better leaders than the Northerners. The would go on to have leaders like Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.

2. The South was fighting on its own territory and therefore they knew the terrain better. This would help them to be able to ambush the North repeatedly.

3. The South had high morale, as they were fighting to preserve their ways of life, and the North was simply fighting to keep a union together. The Southerners really had more motivation to fight for their cause.

Step-by-step explanation:

HOPE THIS IS GOOD ;)
