Explanation:

I think of a number x, then i multiply it by 3, add 4 and square the result.

Representing this mathematically,

x * 3= 3x

Then add 4 which will be 3x + 4

Squaring the result would be (3x +4)².

So, if we give our unknown which is x the value of say, 3.

Substituting the value of x into that equation would be easy.

(3 (3) +4)²

= (9 + 4)²

= (11)²

=132.
