Answer: The Best question is "What are the goals of the text, and what elements help achieve those goals?"

Explanation: The word evaluate means to asses or provide a judgment or feedback about some action, situation or material after analyzing it. In the case of texts, including essays, novels or articles evaluation is mainly focused on whether a text is effective or not, for determining this there are two main principles, the first one is to understand the goals or purposes of the author with the text, common main goals include to inform, explain, persuade, narrate or analyze and whether this major and other goals connected to the main goal are accomplished. For example, when evaluating an argumentative essay, the most common goal is to persuade the audience and therefore the reader should determine whether the evidence and details provided achieve this goal. Considering this, it can be concluded if a reader wants to evaluate a text, the best question to ask is " What are the goals of the text, and what elements help achieve those goals?".
