According to Islam, Muhammad recieved a message from the archangel Gabriel, in Muhammad’s vison in 610 A.D. The archangel commanded Muhammad to preach the message of one god, of Allah. Thus, believing that God had chosen him as his messenger, Muhammad preached in his revelations in Mecca. Eventually, his popularity lead him to be persecuted by people in high power, who headed the cults that were popular in Mecca during Muhammad’s time.

At first whn he got the revilation from Gabriel he went and told his wife. His wife said that Allah(god) would never hurt a man who fed the poor and helped others.

Then he told his close friend Abu Bakr (R.A) and he also came to the fold of Islam. That is how it started
