Hey there!

We have 1/3 cup per patch for twelve batches for one recipe.
1/3(12)=4

And we have 1/2 cup for each recipe for another twelve batches.

1/2(12)=6

We add these two....
6+4=10

Therefore, Marcy uses ten cups of the flour.
