-9/6 that’s because you take -4 - 5 and you get -9 and then you take 8 - 2 and you get 6 so the slope down 9 and right 6

Answer:

m = (-3)/(2)

Explanation:

To find the slope, the slope formula will need to be used:

m = (y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1))

Plug in the points:

m = (-4-5)/(8-2)

Simplify:

m = (-9)/(6) \\\\m = (-3)/(2)

Therefore, the slope of the line is :

m = (-3)/(2)
