Answer: Butter will be 1.5

Explanation:

A recipe for pie dough calls for a ratio of butter to flour 3/4 :2 1/2.

You plan to use 10 cups of flour.

So, to get the quantity of butter by using unitary method:

For 3/4 cup of flour, the butter should be 2 1/2 cups

So, 1 cup of flour, butter should be = 3/4 divided by 2 1/2 = 3/10

Thus, for 10 cups of flour butter should be = 3/10 * 5 = 3/2 = 1.5

Answer:

3 cups of butter

Explanation:

butter to flour

3/4:2 1/2

so firstly they want 10 cups of flour so you need to divide 10 by 2 1/2 (to make it more simple i will make it a decimal...2.5)

10/2.5=4

now you need to times 3/4 by 4

3/4 x 4/1=12/4 = 3
