The linear scale factor of 2 similar shapes is 2:7. If the area of the bigger shape is 392cm²,find the area of the bigger shape

Answer:

If 392 is the area of bigger shape, then area of smaller shape is:

392/7 x 2 = 56 x 2 = 112cm^2

If 392 is the area of smaller shape, then the area of bigger shape is:

392/2 x 7 = 1372cm^2
