to find a and b use the coordinate points it passes through

using (0, 4 ) , then

4 = a
b^(0) [
b^(0) = 1 ] , that is

a = 4 , so

y = 4
b^(x)

using (2, 100 )

100 = 4b² ( divide both sides by 4 )

25 = b² ( take the square root of both sides )


√(25) = b , that is

b = 5

then exponential function is

y = 4 .
