Answer

First find the value of x:

5x + 55° = 2x + 100, because these angles are corresponding angles so they are equal.

5x + 55 = 2x + 100

-2x. -2x

3x + 55 = 100

-55. -55

3x = 45

÷ 3. ÷3

x = 15

Angle 2 is supplementary to angle 5x + 55 or 130°, so angle 2 equals 180 - 130 = 50°
