Answer:

y = -7/4x -2

Gradient/ Slope of the line = -7/4

Since the lines are parallel their gradients are the same

Equation of the line using point (4, -2)

y + 2 = -7/4(x - 4)

Multiply through by 4

4y + 8 = -7(x - 4)

4y + 8 = -7x + 28

4y = -7x + 28 - 8

4y= - 7x + 20

y= -7/4x + 20/7
