Answer:

-(1)/(4) or -0.25

Explanation:

he way to set this up in an equation is like this:

- (7)/(4) +x= -2

so what we have to do is add
-(7)/(4) to -2

x=-2+(-(7)/(4))\\x=-(4)/(4) +(-(7)/(4))

in result we get:
-(1)/(4) or -0.25

Hope this helps!

Answer:

x = -1/4

Explanation:

-7/4 + x = -2

Add 7/4 to each side

-7/4 +7/4 + x = -2+7/4

x = -2 +7/4

Get a common denominator

x = -2*4/4 + 7/4

x = -8/4 + 7/4

x = -1/4
