x-1-2/x+3=1/4

x-3/x+3=1/4

4x-12=x+3

4x-x=3+12

3x=15

x=15/3

x=5

The fraction is numerator/denominator=x-1/x

x=5 : 5-1/5=4/5

The fraction is 4/5
