Answer:

(What creative shop names!)

Shop A: 41p

Shop B: 42p

Shop C: 45p

The best deal is from shop A

Explanation:

If 2 pints in shop A cost 82 pence, we'll split that into two.

82/2 = 41p

So one pint in shop A is 41 pence.

If 4 pints in shop B cost £1.68, we'll also divide, but by 4 this time!

£1.68/4 = 42p

If 6 pints in shop C is £2.70, we'll divide that once gin, by 6.

£2.70/6 = 45p

The best deal is from shop A.

Answer:

Shop A = 41 p/pint

Explanation:

Shop A - 82 p/2 pints = 41 p/pint

Shop B - 1.68/4 = 0.42 = 42 p/pint

Shop C - 2.70/6 = 0.45 = 45 p/pint

Shop A is better because you have to pay less per pint.
