First find out the areas of the two triangular sides

Area of triangle =1/2(bh)

From the shape

base b= 6ft

Height h= 4ft

Area = 1/2(6 x 4)

Area = 1/2(24)

Area = 12 ft²

Since the triangular shape is two total area =2 x 12= 24ft²

For the area of the two rectangular sides:

length l= 10ft

Width w= 5ft

Area = 10 x 5= 50ft²

Since the rectangular sides are two total area is = 50 x 2= 100ft²

Now, the base of the tent has a rectangular shape with

length 'l'= 10ft

Width 'w'= 6ft

Area = 10 x 6= 60ft²

Hence total surface area of the tent is 24+100+60= 184ft²
