subtract eq 2 from 1

x-2x+y-y=-12-3

-x= -15 now y is eliminated

x=15

for y put x=15 in eq(1)

15+y=-12

y=-12-15

y=-27

for checking of answer

x+y=-12

15-27=-12

-12=-12
