The film Casablanca was released during World War II in 1942. Some have argued that some of the themes and plot points of the film can be read as propaganda. Do you agree or disagree? Does Casablanca have a political message?

Disagree

The movie was designed to entertain audiences while making ties to reality to help audiences relate to what the characters are struggling with throughout the film. It does, however, have a common theme of rebellion and topics such as "the struggle against oppression" are brushed upon, but ultimately those troupes tie in with the story. The film is not propaganda for war
