Answer:

y=(3)/(10) x-(16)/(5)

Explanation:

Equation for slope:

m=(y_(1)- y_(2) )/(x_(1)- x_(2) )

Substitute in your x and y values:

m=(-2+5)/(4+6) \\ m=(3)/(10)

Now write the equation:

y=(3)/(10) x

this is not done yet though since it does not work:

-2=(3)/(10) *4\\-2=1(1)/(5)

so we add the y- intercept
b to make the equation equal:

-2=1(1)/(5)+b

From here we solve for
b:

b=-(16)/(5)

y=(3)/(10) x-(16)/(5)
