(y1 - y2)/(x1 - x2)

(X₁, Y₁)= (4, 9)

(X₂, Y₂)= (3, 6)

* The order of which one is the first coordinate or second does not matter. Just ensure that if you let the x-coordinate of 1 point to be X₁, the y-coordinate of the same point has to be Y₁.

Thus, slope of line


= (9 - 6)/(4 - 3) \\ = (3)/(1) \\ = 3
