Explanation:

The base is the triangle

We can use the Pythagorean theorem to solve

a^2 + b^2 =c^2 where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse

4^2 + 4^2 = c^2

2 * 4^2 = c^2

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(2 * 4^2) = sqrt(c^2)

sqrt(2) *sqrt( 4^2) = c

4 sqrt(2) =c
