Start by finding the price of one shirt on sale.


18*0.2

This equals 3.6 which is how much will be deducted from the original price.

One shirt costs
18-3.6\\ when its 20% off.

This is equal to $14.40.

Since she wants to buy 3 of them we just multiply the $14.40 by 3.


14.4*3=\\

This equals $43.2 but this is without a 5% sales tax which is normally added to the total end price.
