It was given that 1/2 inch square title=4

square feet.

So to calculate the total Area occupied by the 48 tiles


Area=1/2×48


Area=24inches^2

If
1/2inches^2=4ft^2 ( from the question)

Let X represent
24inches^2

Then,
24inches^2=Xft^2

Cross multiply


4×24=X×1/2</p><p></p><p>X=4×24×2</p><p></p><p>X=[tex]192ft^2
