The girl stared at the boy from across the classroom. Who was he? Why did he always act in such a manner? His mouth was always moulded into a frown yet he still had that same twinkle in his eyes. She couldnt help but wonder about his personal life. Did he have family? Was he always alone? Without thinking, she stood up and walked over to the boy. The teacher looked up from her paperwork, locking her eyebrows in a downwards direction. The teacher pointed her finger at the girl. ''Sit down, young lady,'' she said calmy, but still having that same, angry expression. The girl ignored her, whereas everyone else in the classroom turned their heads to the back of the classroom, and stared at the girl and the boy - the wonder kids.
The girl sat next to the boy, on the empty plastic chair beside him. He was always by himself at school - was people being kind to him? ''I will work with him, for the project, miss.'' said the girl quietly. The teacher nodded and then began looking back at the pile of filled test worksheets on her desk. ''Who are you?'' she said. Still, the boy stayed quiet. ''Tell me!'' she yelled, banging her hands down on the table. The young girl, being humble, wanted nothing more than never being the centre of attention - but now she was getting it. She went bright red with emmbaresment. ''Sorry...'' she mumbled.
