↬ Slope m = ∆y/∆x

Here,

∆x = x₂ – x₁ = -8 – 12 = -20

∆y = y₂ – y₁ = -4 – 6 = -10

↬ Slope (m) = ∆y/∆x = (-20)/(-10) = 1/2
