The given function is


g(x)=(x-1)^2

So, the given function can be written in the form of basic form as


g(x)=f(x-1) ...(1)

The translation is defined as


g(x)=f(x+a)2+b .... (2)

If a>0, then the graph shifts a units left and if a<0, then the graph shifts a units right.

If b>0, then the graph shifts b units up and if b<0, then the graph shifts b units down.
