\sqrt[4]{4x+10} = 4x+10 ^1/4


\sqrt[4]{9+7x}= 9+7x^1/4

Since they are under the same root, you can combine them under the root.

Then you change the +/- sign of one side of the equation to move to the other side of the equation.

To get....
\sqrt[4]{-3x+1}=0

^4 both sides to get..

-3x+1=0

Move 1 to the other side...

-3x=-1

divide both sides by -3

x=1/3
