45% ⇒ $63

1% ⇒ $(63/45)

1% ⇒ $1.4

original price is always 100%

100% ⇒ $(1.4*100)

100% ⇒ $140

Solution↷

Let the original price of the necklace be ,'x',

then,

According to the question,

• (45/100)x = 63
• 45x = 6300
• x = 6300/45
• x =140

Hence ,the necklace she bought worths $140 without the discount given to her.
